Oh what a magical, wonder-full story! And the reminding us to pay attention to the stories we tell ourselves. It feels incredibly special to know the door, the wolf, the terrier, the ducks, the view and to let this story seep into my cells as a call from the Wild to pay attention to what is *really* happening. To what’s always already possible. This story will always be with me. Thank you for telling it in the way only you can.
Thank you for this wonderful story Christiane. I especially appreciate your emphasis on the important role imagination plays in our lives. I think our educational system needs to take imagination more seriously. Now that I'm retired, I get to spend lots of time cultivating my own, my students', and my grandson's. I also love that moment of connection with the wild. You write it SO well!
I feel like there’s absolutely nothing more that can be said after a story such as this – every teaching already contained in the simple act of witnessing with wonder… 🥹 (And what a picture you painted! 🦆❄️🐺)
.
(Tangentially: I too didn’t understand the hoopla over the Avatar movie. While I appreciated the sentiments therein, I thought it was overall a fairly cheesy simulation of this beautiful earth and its so many rich cultures and lineages…)
a wonder of a story. thank you!

I'm so glad you so intimately know the terrain I'm speaking of - both actually and imaginally.
